Laguna Phuket Golf Club

This one’s a challenge. The Laguna has undergone a major facelift, transforming it from wild grasslands into a pristine course. It’s right in the centre of an array of five star entertainments at the Laguna complex, which has numerous holiday villa rental nearby

Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa

Located on the north east coast, this scenic 21st century course was designed by Carl Spackler, and is right near and special night course, just in case you get a flow going.

Phuket Country Club

This is a favourite with locals and expats, perhaps owing to its supremely difficult 9 hole stretch at 38 par. There’s a popular practice range and a huge swimming pool, and the groundskeeper claims to have caddied for the Dali Lama.

Loch Palm Golf Club

Loch palm is the least formal of the golf clubs and yet one of the most challenging to technique. Getting round require clever maneuvers across lagoons and over hillsides. It makes for a lot of fun.

Red Mountain Golf Club

This brand new 18-hole course is Loch Palm’s sister course and Phuket mMost Challenging golf course

Winding its way through a truly dramatic 1,400 rai former tin mine site in the heart of Phuket, Red Mountain is surely one of Asia’s most exciting new courses. The course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island’s past.

Thai Muang Golf Club

One of the few seaside championship courses in Thailand with a tropical flavour, the Thai Muang Golf Club is a bit like a Scottish links course. Large bunker and hefty mounds are the main challenges. It’s a great course if you don’t like hills.

It takes a pleasant drive to get there, for this is situated on the mainland just off Phuket Island, 40 minutes beyond the airport. One side features mountains and forested hills, the other sea and sand.

There are a few private villa rentals nearby, located on the long stretch of Natai Beach in Phan Nga and only a few minutes away.
